The Mountains has been part of the Milkwood Group since 2004. As an EMI - registered nursing home, we offer short or long-term nursing care for the elderly, specializing in Alzheimer and dementia.

A modern, recently-extended home in a peaceful rural setting, The Mountains provides high-quality accommodation for 47 residents, male and female over the age of 65. It has 39 single and four double rooms, all ensuite and many boasting views to the high tops of the Brecon Beacons.

There are passenger and stair lifts to the first floor, making the house suitable for wheelchair users. All public areas are non-smoking.

The house has three large, comfortable lounges, a main dining area and smaller dining room. residents and their guests are free to enjoy our small but beautiful enclosed gardens at any time. We are proud of our 'family' atmosphere at the home, which is always busy with visitors and activities including reminiscence therapy, musical movement, crafts and musical afternoons, as well as a popular annual fete, organised by our superb support team. The home also has the use of a minibus, and we organise regular outings and visits.

Our fully-qualified and dedicated nursing staff provide the very highest standards of care to our residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we maintain close links with local professionals for additional specialist care.

The Mountains combines rural tranquillity with easy access, extensive facilities and the very highest standards of nursing care. You'd have to go a long way to find better.
